Beginnings

It is ever more convincing to me as time goes on how much work and time it really takes to plan a wedding...and we aren't even close to the date yet!

I did one trial run on a hairstyle today. My friend Em did a wonderful job!!!!!

So yeah, I thought it turned out quite excellently :-)

With my dress ordered, (no pics guys, W's checking this site as well and thats supposed to be a secret from him!), I am getting more excited about buying accessories for the wedding.

I have completely fallen in love with Ebay and all the rushes of adrenaline that online auctions bring on.

I got a pretty good deal on this silver plated tiara...

...and I hope I'm as happy with it when it comes as when I bought it :-)

I also bought a big poofy petticoat, but can't get that picture to upload.

Background Information

Most of you know our story... or at least most of it, but for those of you who are still clueless, it will be my pleasure to fill you in (briefly).

I met my fiancee (W) at his brother's house where I was working as a babysitter child caregiver. At the time he was working odd shifts as a parking enforcement officer where he would work a bunch of shifts in a row and then get a long weekend off. Being the workaholic that he is, W would then drive 5 hours to his brother's place where he would work for his brother in the machine shop. After exchanges via Facebook and then email, we got to know each other quite well and had our first date approximately a month after meeting.

To twist things even more, in November he joined the military and was shipped off to basic training. We survived the first month, and then he got approximately 3 weeks off for Christmas; only to return to base for another 10 weeks. We passed the test of separation with flying colors, and on March 12 W proposed in front of his entire platoon after his graduation.

Purpose and Ground Rules

Well first it must be said that I am not starting this blog to complain, but to more plot for my readers about the process I am going through to get my our wedding planned and implemented by September 12 of this year. After that, I suppose the purpose will have to be changed revised, but until then I hope I can enlighten my followers on the intricacies of wedding planning. Wish me luck :)
